They are mainly made from cheap softwood which look good at inital purchase but softwood does not survive outdoors. We use only durable hardwood on our childrens palyhouses which means you can enjoy the feature for years to come.
Why would I need a playhouse for years after my kids grow up?
When the kids grow up you can easily convert the playhouse to a dog house! The fully waterproof roof and double cladded walls is a great home for any pet to sleep in at night. Or it can be a handy storage space to keep firewood dry during the winter.
